In the morning the weather was quite nice. You were able to sit around and bask in the sun while others did all the running around.

Shortly before the pros started to run the weather must have dropped close to 10 degrees within an hour and the skies opened up. This made for some interesting spills

Of course some decided to go play in the mud with their cameras.

Did you know that the hood on the average rain jacket can hold 2.4 pounds of mud?
Oh, BTW, I never did get my hot chocolate.:):):):):)
Good captures!

Is #3 the first shot of a POTN strap?
It might very well be the first "action" shot of a POTN strap. However it is not attatched to a camera body but rather it is being used as a support system for a 300 f/2.8 prime. :):):):):)

When i crashed at bromont, i actually managed to dislocate a rib. Spent all day in hospital yesterday, luckily no surgery was required. Coupled with the weather forceasts, i decided to stay home and relax..good thing I did, come sunday night I could barely breathe due to swelling.
MUCH better now, maybe meet up for some shots on the weekend?

The racing images are excellent! Of course, finding the perfect location is the toughest part for downhill (preferably not in the mud) ... but as soon as the rubes see the guy with the big lens shooting from somewhere they tend to swarm to that spot! :-) Shot a downhill race at Firestone Vineyards in Santa Barbara about a year ago ... got some good images and a vantage point so close to the run that no one got in my way since they'd have to have been on the raceway to get in front of me! :-) It doesn't rain here, but at least mud doesn't get on your sensor!
