Lassen Volcanic National Park

I got to spend my Memorial Weekend up in the Mountains. My mother in law owns property outside of Shingletown, which is along Highway 44. Fortunately, it is a 15 minute drive to the Lassen Park entrance. Here are a couple of my favorite pics I took:

I used to live in the Red Bluff/Chico area for 4 years, I'm kicking myself for only making it to Lassen 3 times for hiking and what-not.

Thanks!!! I love that place. I also went there as a boy and have continued ever since. Typically I make it to the area 2 or 3 times a year.

Incidentally, both pics are with the 50mm 1.8.

Very nice shots. I really like that park, especially Bumpass Hell and the hike to get there. I'm too old (and out of shape) to hike up Mt Lassen.

Nice shots, although the snow covered peak is making me nervous. I have a wakeboard vacation planned in about two weeks at Lake Almanor. I have a feeling the water is going to be a bit chilly.

Beautiful shots but the second one appears dark to me. Is it just my eyes/monitor?
