Finally managed to get a set of cybersyncs to set of my canon flashes off cam.
I am very impressed compared to previously using ST-E2.Got a couple of shoots organised over the next few days both outdoors & indoors to give them a work out.
Thanks to all the members who gave cybersyncs the thumbs up & saying I would not regret purchasing them.

A cybersync is a...?
I'd like something to control my flash off camera as well. This helps for more creative lighting, correct?

Personally I use Skyports (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/505381-REG/Elinchrom_EL_19360_EL_Skyport_Universal_Radio_Slav e.html/BI/2312/KBID/3114), both products work well.

I will probably be going with cybersyncs later in the future... in fact I was all set to buy a set (no pun intended) when I read up on the rf-602s. Decided to get those instead for now (70 bucks gets you 1 trans and 3 receivers). Mainly because of the hotshoe as not all my flashes have sync sockets and I would have to buy extra adapteres from flashzebra.
When you say "finally" managed to get them to set off your canon flashes, what do you mean? Was there a particular issue?
I am curious as, like I said, I will probably upgrade to cybersyncs later in the year (either them or radiopoppers once their "cube" comes out as well as cybersyncs "commander" and a decent review of their ability to adjust manual flash power without having to walk over to each flash and do it individually).

They are a Paul C Buff wireless remote product. Very good quality for the price.
I have used them for years and I cannot honestly say I have ever had a misfire.
Look here (http://www.alienbees.com/remotes.html)
Problem is right now Mr. Buff is making some major changes to his line-up. The new stuff looks really interesting but it so far has been a wee bit slow in being released because of some very widely discussed reasons. But the current Cybersyncs will work just fine. I highly recommend them. Great in studios.

Oh good, I was really wondering how they would stack up. I ordered them just yesterday. I did get the non plus versions tho.

Yessir, definitely work as advertised. And heck, when you consider the price differential between the canon triggers and Cybersync, it quickly becomes a no-brainer.

Mine freaked out on me the other day, giving me a bit of a disco show for a few seconds. I changed out the coin battery in my CST and the AAs in the CSRB+ and it was fine.
So, don't go out without spares!

My CST battery died during a shoot but was working an hour before. Sadly I didn't have a backup battery but I went and bought a dozen so I'll never need to worry about it again.
