I have a friend who has one of these he won in a contest and will not use, it will sell it to me for 50 bucks. I don't know anything about telescopes, but if my XTi can hook up to this and it's worth the 50 bucks I will buy it

You could have some fun shooting Lunar with it, it all depends if that's worth 50 dollars to you.

You would need some hardware to attach the camera to the telescope focus tube. I found this adapter below but you would also need a T-ring adapter that this type of adapter would thread into. Then the T-ring attaches where a lens would on your DSLR and the whole assembly would then slide into the opening where an eyepiece would normally go. If you can find a shorter cylinder adapter like the one below that would be best, it would be helpful to get the camera as close to the scope focuser as possible so you're not shooting into such a long tube which can increase vignetting at the edges of your images.

Hi
Borrow it and try it but I think you will return it.

What is wrong with it? What would be the minimum telescope I should even consider?

Humm ... this is a photo sharing section. There is a discussion section right above where perhaps where this post should be I think.

I had only but issues with Bushnell equipement. Certainly not to Canon optical standards. Collimation issues, mirror ou poor quality - 1/6 wave at best, coma you name it. My grain of photon.
