I was attempting to thake a photo of a Barn owl last night ,the light was very low and I had my Sigma zoom conected to the 20D.
As the Owl came up the fairway of the golf coarse I looked through the viewfinder and pushed the shutter release half way.
Thats when I noticed the data window:confused: 8000th second at f4.5
Checked the top window and it gave what I would consider a sensible answer.
Bugger ,now what I thought:rolleyes: .Poped open the battary cover and released the battary ,counted to three and put it back in.
Same problem but now it was showing overexposure beyond the limits of the shutter speed!
So off with the lens and back on again! This sorted the problem out but it was to late for my picture of the Owl:cry:
Why did the camera or lens pack up at that time? I could have done it at any other point and there would have been no panic.
Looks kike lens contacts need to me kept nice and clean as well as the sensors.
