Sharing neat shots from this weekend in Aquebogue (Suffolk County), NY. They were shot with my Canon 20D w/70 -200L f/4 lens.

Great shot of the osprey. I have many a shot of part of an osprey, rarely the entire body. Looks like the chicks are having fish for dinner.

Thanks for all of your comments! It's another reason why I love photography.

I was suprised I even got this shot! Out of the corner of my eye, I saw him coming in around the bend of trees to my right, which opened to the ocean bay. I lifted my camera and was fumbling to get him into view in the viewfinder, first by going wide down to 70mm, then after getting him in view and zooming in to 200mm. At 200mm with a moving target... it ain't easy!!!

After he'd landed, the female Osprey grabbed the fish and flew off to eat. The male was left to sit on the eggs! For the next half-hour, the male fussed and called for its mate.
