All products selected for both 18% gray exposure and for neutrality for white balance (except the generic gray card)

a 10x10 peice of gray ripstop nylon purchased by the yard at the local yarn barn. Cut it out with a soldering iron or a hot screwdriver tip so it won't fray, stretch it over the lens hood with mf set and point the camera at the light source (the subject, not the lightbulb) and get your wb image. works pretty well, I would guess as well as an expodisc. Plus its a good rain cover or place to set things down in the grass or you could use it to blow your nose. I must have about ten of them, but I can only ever find a few at atime. The rest must be in the pockets of unworn jackets.
I bet those of you that use an expodisc know EXACTLY where they are.

I use the WhiBal series of gray cards and a MacBeth ColorChecker for color control and a very old set of Kodak gray cards for exposure control.

I have the small tri-card WhiBal as well as the smallest (I think) Lastolite Grey/White target.

The former is handy for close ups and table top while the latter can be shot from farther away and/or tossed on the ground in the sun for WB/Meter Readings if I'm out shooting aircraft.
