The Levitators @ The Sand Bar

The Sand Bar is another venue in Adelaide I had not shot in before tonight. The stage was different to anything I'd seen before with stairs on both sides, the left hand set extending right up to a level almost above the performers on stage. This is where DJ's/lighting crew do their thing, with the band playing below them! What it meant for me was access to some different angles, almost head height to the band.

The Levitators play dance music with instruments. I counted at least 5 keyboards on stage! They also have two drummers, one standing around his kit, the other in more traditional, seated position. Random videos were projected at the band the entire show and I knew it would suck to shoot without flash as the light from the projection would give weird patterns on their faces, so I rocked one flash off camera via cord.
