Transferring Video from Canon FS11 to Computer

Hello,

I couldn't locate detailed instructions in the users manuel and my sister asked me to transfer her videos from her Canon FS11 Camcorder to my computer so we could burn DVD's. I spent 2.5 hours last night tryin to do this to no avail.

Can someone please give me step by step instructions on how to transfer the videos from the camcorder to my computer (we have windows xp - if that matters).

Page 68 on the users manual says that you should use the supplied software. And on page 72 there are directions how to set up the connection.

Thank you for your response. I did install the software, however, it still would not work. I was hoping someone could give me detailed instructions (in laymans terms) on how to transfer video (not pictures) to the computer as we want to burn a disc of the videos.

Does the camera show up in the software? What if you choose the video mode (not picture) and make the same steps?
