good shot, but not enough separation between the main leaves and the background. Maybe try burning the background a little?

Love that red. Needs a darker background.

I'm a sucker for autumnal (fall) images but the white o.o.f bokeh is too distracting and this shot regretfully cannot be salvaged unless you get the colour replacement tool out in photoshop

It's a cool shot, but there's not enough contrast between the background. Have you tried having an assistant hold a white board behind the leaf? Might make a cool effect.

I, myself, am a sucker for reds/and I find this one just fine...smaller crop...and keep it.

I think the overexposed background kills this photo. Tough to get a proper exposure in that direction, with all that backlighting. Also - there is so much red you lose the definition of the edge of the leave on the lower part - it blends in and you lose it.

Darkening the background + selectively changing the background color to a less saturated red or even going toward yellow/green could help.

Some areas, the twin cities included, don't allow leaf burning in the city limits... ;)

Part of the problem on this one maybe the way you have it cropped. Remember the rule of 3rds. Just move the leaf into a different part of the frame and see how it looks.
