I have been caring for this little gal for a couple of years now. I love watching her grow up..
Snapped this several weeks ago while the other kiddos were playing. Her mama's photo was taken in the same dress at this age... and then her older sister did... so she asked me if I would take one of Anaiah... of course I was happy to do it!
I always fall in love with her eyes. :)
Window light to camera left, and a little reflector for fill to the right.. I think the catchlights are just from a sunspot on the carpet (or maybe a lid from a toy tub?...lol). I might have to simulate that again cause I like how it ended up. :)
Thanks for looking and Cc is always welcome and appreciated. :)
HAPPY DAY!

I like the second one better because of the eye contact.
It would be nice to pick my kids up and have nice portraits of them waiting for me :)

I love them both, I actually like that she is looking away in the first, it gives it a certain feeling of childhood hope :)

Thanks for the feedback guys...
@Hoff... I did a bad job of cropping in camera... so yeah.. it's a weird crop but it's all I could do to make it work somewhat..
She is difficult to work with it believe it or not.. and sometimes you ahve to just grab it when it comes your way.. this was a 4 minute session. :)
So really... it doesn't matter much to me anyway.... I love the face, and I get lost in her sweetness.. and for me that's more important that perfection in the cropping. lol..
Happy Day!

They both work for me. #1 really evokes an emotional response. She is just so beautiful and I'm drawn right to her eyes!
My son is 15 months and I can barely squeeze a couple minutes from him and rarely looking at the camera. It's sometimes so hard to get a good shot from those little ones!

Have to say #1 does it for me, a lovely wistful (think that's the word that I was looking for) look.

Great photos Kristy. Number 1 evokes more emotion and childhood wonderment. Just wonderful. I often see that look on my kids face and wonder what they're thinking.
From a technical perspective, I was wondering why you are shooting at such high ISO? Are you intentionally trying to avoid using a flash? Please forgive my newbie ignorance...I'll get it eventually.

Awww.. thanks again for the kind words... :)
@snowbird... I use the high ISO to get the exposure I need with the desired shutter speed and aperature I want. My camera handles the higher ISO with no problems, and shooting at 1600 indoors is pretty much the norm for me with this camera... ;) But yes.. I like to use natural light whenever can and avoid using the flash. :)
