I took this one yesterday evening with the 350D/Xt and Kit Lens, had to pull a fair bit of shadow detail out in post process. I don't think this one is salavaged but would like to hear your opinions. In hindsight I probably should have used a few stops of ND grads or tried multiple exposures.

Personally I feel there's too much red in the amount of saturation which you have used - it looks unnatural! Try using the curves to bring some of the saturation out and it might look better.

Nice job on the pano.

Thanks for the comment David, I think I'll definately ditch this one and shoot another with grads. I've spent the day reading about creating panos with PTassembler and Panorama Tools and this one is a shocker stitched with Photo Stitch.

One of those shots that is headed straight to the bin on almost all accounts :p

OTOH, sunsets are open to a lot of color intrepretation, & I like the "false" colors in this one for some reason. What bothers me is the curving horizon. ;-)

But the world is round....isn't it:confused:

Ok ok, maybe not quite that round :p Once I get this PTassembler worked out I 'should' get better results *crosses fingers*

I really like it! How was this done, stiched together from several shots? Or a single shot. I was thinking 10-22 but then I saw you used the kit lens. Is it really that wide at 17/18mm? Hm...
