Which one is best? I like the raw + jpeg idea and the sports mode with raw. Any advice would be helpful.

The undutchables came after Wasia series of hacks stopped. I am not sure what the Undutchables added to the Wasia. But since it was incremental, it became my first choice.
I then read a lot of posts to see if there any known issues with Undutchables - didnt seem like a lot. So, I've been on Undutchables for a month now - 3 days after I got my camera. No issues but to be honest, have'nt used too many of the hacks except for testing.

I have had the Wasia Hack for almost a year now with no problem, I have also read that there are some crashing issues with some of the advanced functions with the undutchables that are known. The only reason I would consider the Undutchables is RAW in sports mode, but I feel much better in just using one of the known tricks of kicking the camera into Servo.

One of the downsides of the hacks was supposed to be a 'low battery indicator' even when its not so low.
I have seen it on my Drebel - with the last bar, the battery goes on forever.
Anyone heard of a solution to that or have a workaround to figuring out how low the battery really is.

I put the undutchables hack on and went through the menu and set it up. put raw with small jpeg and put one shot setting. Everything is working good.

I am very nervous about installing the undutchables hack... but think that I need (want) to. Can you point me in the right direction of where to download it. I did a google search... and must say some of the locations i was pointed to, i am not real keen on downloading anything from!

Yes there are hacks for the Drebel. It give some of the function from 10D. The ones I use are RAW+, Flash Exposure Comp (FEC), and Flash Sync in Av mode (1/200).

Read what upgrades it gives you to see if you really need them. I like being able to shoot raw in the basic mode. And your able to shoot raw+jpeg. 3200 iso instead of 1600. mirror lockup, exposure increments 1/2 or 1/3 stop,af of, af os, af se focus. You can download the 10d from the canon website to check it out.

Oh I read that low battery display shows up sometimes even when charged. I haven't seen that and haven't had any problems.

I have had Undutchables since day two of buying my DSLR and never a single glitch, lock up, or anything. I never even think about it being a risk. I don't think it is. I believe that a lock up can occur with changing from language to another after installation ... but who would do that unless they just HAD to fiddle for no reason  The PDF file that comes with it explains functional improvements and known issues.
