View Full Version : Pirate @ The Annandale - first gig with Tokina 11-16

Hi All,

Took a few shots of my friends' band, Pirate, at The Annandale Hotel tonight.

Decided to test out the new Tokina 11-16 f/2.8 to see how it handles a live music setting, and I'm pretty happy with the results. Swapped to Siggie 70-200 after a while to get some tighter shots...

Basically every shot with the 11-16 was at arm's length without using the viewfinder or live view! There was one other photographer there (shooting with a 24-70 L) and she seemed a bit confused as to why I was reaching my whole arm over the foldback to within a metre of the band at ankle height to take most of my shots!
