Whilst covering a canoe polo event at the weekend, I happened to see these feathered things a few meters off the sidelines.

Nice shot! What type of bird is that (if you know)? Looks like an American or Eurasian Coot to me - not sure if you have those over there or not. Guess it would be Eurasian, not American, if it's a Coot at all since, it's bill is all white.
