is there a nice hand strap that doesnt block the battery door?

(on a 5dmark2, no grip)

I used a Markins plate on the bottom of my 5D2, and it had a slit for the camera strap. I'm now using an L plate from RRS which also has a slot for the bottom half of the hand strap. Neither one blocks the battery door.

I have the RRS L-plate on my 5D2 and it doesn't block the battery door. I'm guessing the standard plate doesn't either.

markins plate on mine, P52U.lightweight also.
saves the hassle of having to install a plate when need to mount on tripod also...

Same thing here, very comfortable.A good substitution if only needed for strap holding purposes. When I started using my 40D I bought the L plate only for strap holding.All the landscape and panorama passion came afterwards=)
