I need Help with HDR

I have gone through every help guide online and tried 2 cameras (300D and 40D) and still cannot get my HDR's to look good at all. They always have some bright spot in it or I get HIGH Grain in the images. Here is a sample of my problems. First picture is from Dynamic Photo HDR v4.4. You can see clipping on the right had side where it was apparently too bright. Second is the rendered image just for show.

If I take pictures of clouds, the really bright spots in it will turn pink inside the program. This is before I tone map it. Of course if I tone map it, I get HDR Pink...

Please note that I have shot these on a tripod/and not, Manual and AV mode as well as shooting at ISO 100. Can some one please help?

You should always shot in AV mode so the aperture is fixed at what you want. Set a shutter speed you can live with for the scene. Next you need to make your neutral exposure, (I usually only shot 1 exposure under from here), so as not to blowout the brights. If you have too many exposures with blown out whites you will get the result you see on the edge of the wall, zero detail. Then you need to take a shot for the shadows and make sure you are bringing out some detail in the shadows without blowing out the whites to much as these will be your overexposed images. Then take a series of of shots at 1 to 2 stop steps covering the exposure range at you determined, usually between 3 and 5 shots. Once you do a few you will begin to see tonal ranges within your scene an know exactly how to set exposure. You should familiarize yourself with the zone system if you already have not. It will give you a good perspective of tonal ranges. Now, all said and done, Photomatix, or, CS3/4 or whatever HDR software you use, the results may still not be what you expect. Point of clarification- Did you shoot three (or five) shots or is this a single image HDR?

post process in cs4 - use clone stamp, dont forget the alt button to designate the start point.
