I recently saw a photo like this:

Taken by Jeff of the Cathay Camera Club (http://www.cathaycameraclub.com)

Looks pretty interesting and the caption is that it is a triple exposure of the Bank of China. So my questions are:

- What exactly is triple exposure? It it mainly a technique for film cameras? It kind of looks like quadruple exposure here.

- Using a digital camera I could replicate this technique quite easily in PS right? I'm assuming just using multiple layers it should be pretty easy.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Just as a double exposure is two images exposed on the same frame of film, a triple exposure would be three images. Canon DSLR cameras can't do double or triple exposures, but several Canon film cameras have that capability. As you noted, the technique can be duplicated in Photoshop using layers.

Yep, my old Canon film cameras could. Nikon DLSRs can, so I'm told.

Ok, that's what I thought. So basically it is a film camera specific technique. Thanks!
