Having just read another thread about cleaning the sensor, a question just came to mind. Does anyone know if it is safe to use the cans of compressed air (the kind for cleaning computers) for cleaning the sensor. That would have much more pressure than the blower brushes, but could it be harmful?

From what I've read, that's a definite no no :D

Do NOT used compressed air. First of all, the force may be harmful but even more important is that the liquid propellant can leave a film on the sensor that would be worse than any dust.

Just a thought.

No, no, a thousand times no, just about anything under pressure in cans will contain liquid, plus can be cold enough to damage the sensor.

You'd do less damage with a compress ear than with compressed air.
