A few cliché shots of a tropical island, the last one shows some significant cloud, but luckily no storm that day.

You can see more from my trip at http://www.neil-rice.com/gallery/index.php?groupid=29 (http://www.neil-rice.com/gallery/index.php?groupid=29)

I do it in photoshop, I have created an action that resizes and colours the canvas to build the border.

Neil, those are wonderful shots.
The composition, saturation, tonal range, as John said these would grace any cover.

Since you ended with C&C welcome, I would mention you suffer slightly from the same problem I have.
That is the horizon slightly slopes to the right on 2 & 4.
I'm embarrassed to mention it, it's such a small point. :o

Nice shots Neil, I take it you had a good time? You got some good diving shots, especially of the turtles.

I take it you had a good time? Oh yes, we will certainly be going back. Due to the aircraft going tech at Gatwick we had to spend an extra 2 days on the island, oh its a hard life.

You got some good diving shots, especially of the turtles. Yes lucky with the turtle we spotted it at a 5mtr safety stop. I did not take the camera on any of the drift dives (well I did, but did not take it out of my pocket) but we saw plenty of black and white tips, rays and huge napoleon.

A fantastic time......

That's something Canon should fix for you... a water level thingy in the viewfinder would be excellent for us with problems getting the horizon in a straight line...

Those are some amazing shots. What lens were you using to capture the beach shots?
