Hello all
I am new here and look forward to sharing and learning.
I am attempting to shoot video with my new SX10.
My qeustion is this: Is there a pause function? I have stopped shooting video and start again and it makes 2 seperate files. I have read over the owners manual and cannot seem to find anything related to a pause function.
I am a Technical instructor/mechanic. I am making instructional videos...well at least i am learning how to.
Thank you for any suggestions
Have a great day!

Thanks for the confirmation on what I suspected.
Next qeustion: Is there a good editing program out there that will allow me to blend 2or 3 movies files into one?
thanks again

I use "Sony Movie Studio 9.0". The price starts about $55 and goes up to about $115 depending on the bells and whistles you get. I have the higher end version and I love it. It is a full blown movie editor and I admit that there is some learning curve, it is a complex program, but it is wonderful.
Here is a link to their website:

Here is a link to a sample from a video I made of a fishing trip this past Spring. All of the photos were with the SX10 IS and the video made with Sony Movie Studio 9.0. I used all stills in this sample. You can combine any mix of stills or video. You can set the program to make a still shot into any length of video. I set it to make each photo last 7 seconds with a 2 second fade to the next shot.

Hi, I have tried a few different video editing programs but I find Nero Vision pretty easy to use, good for video and picture editing. Lots of extra's also depending on what version you have, but, as with alot of video editing software, it really does use alot of your system memory, CPU and GFX and if you have a low end system, this could show in your finished result.
