Hope this may help. We have been having problems with an A75. Despite setting Large and Superfine, images sometimes came out as Small & Fine, or Large & Fine, whether in Auto or Non-Auto shooting modes. The cause of the problem, which I find a bit bizarre, is that taking the batteries out to recharge them, and then putting them back in the camera, seems to overwrite the image size and compression settings. Once the batteries are back in the camera, and the settings are reset, the settings hold (until next time the batteries are removed). If you know this, you can deal with it, and it is not really a problem, but I wonder if other people are having this problem. A Canon authorised repair centre found no problem, but we had not been able to shoot in Superfine at all. Now after resetting after reinserting the batteries, we can shoot the settings we want. My suspicion is that other cameras may be experiencing this problem but that people may not be aware that the settings they thought they had made were not being applied. Anyone else found this?

Ah...... That is probably the problem I occasionally have with mine. It is little pieces of knowledge such as this that makes the photographic experience better.
