I like it. A nice take on an object most often the subject of poor photography. It might be tilted just slightly to the right

Thanks for the comment, unfortunately Sunday's early morning light was lost to cloud as I took my first and only shot of the reflection. Used the raw file from my Eos 1ds2 to create the cropped original post. Due to the unusual shooting angle, only the centre line is truly vertical.

Managed a more conventional shot for purists

That is one ugly Ferris Wheel - looks like a loose piece of Pachinko wheel attached to a leg support :p
I almost prefer the un-ratcheted-up version rather than the first one. But obviously the sky needs to get bluer and red, redder. I suspect that somewhere between extreme and unretouched is the happy median.
Say, you're right at the foot of the Peak District. How about some sweeping shot of the hills or Peveril Castle?

I sure like that first image. Very interesting use of lines and warbling textures. Nice light, nice post processing. There must be some sort of protective screen. The purist shot is nice too.
I wish you had a website I would like to see more of this kind of work.

Thankyou Mu and jetcode for your comments. MU, I haven't any pevril castle images because as heritage sites go, this is probably the least interesting. I do have other images of the immediate area but they are still on 35mm slides. Check this link out to an excellent 9mile walk if ever you're in the area.

The first time I was in Ireland I got to sit in with some fiddlers and one of them says to me I bet you're here to see the castles. I said why yes I am! She says, I'm sick of castles I want to see Las Vegas. I just roared when she said that.
