There's a quiet unused bit of land where I sometimes park up to take a few shots. At one end of this area of land there's some disused glass-houses and this is where I usually park up as various birds use the old frame as a perch. Last evening however I decided to park up a 100 yards or so before the glass-houses & concentrate on a different view point. Yes you've guessed it, about 5 minutes after parking up a beautiful Kestrel decided to perch himself right in front of where I normally park, I've wanted to get a decent portrait of a Kestrel for months now and that would of been perfect. I manged to grab one shot only as he flew off. After that I just knew it wasn't going to be my night so I packed up and went home!
