Almost stepped on this thing as I was walking. Talk about stopping quick! lol

Lucky you stopped, looks like he's ready to strike at something ? . Any idea if its a dangerous snake?

They are not dangerous. They actually feed on rodents (a good thing) and chase copperheads (poisonous) away. A friend that was with me kept his attention so I could get closer and take the picture.
