My cousin bought one new back then and I thought it was the coolest car in the world, because it had the first automatic radio (scanned for channels-AM only) I'd ever seen.

Of course this car almost bankrupted Ford!

Yeah I like this picture, any other picture of Henry's sons car, I'd love to see. Maybe ford should come out with a edsel but make it the coolist car on the planet? After all Dodge and Chev have a leg up on Ford. Ford's coolest car is the Ford Focus and that isn't very cool, thats like 1980's Ford Tempo cool. ;)

Haha, You're very perceptive. Most people would think that's rust on the metal. Its actually dried blood. This car's front end stuck out like a cowcatcher on an old locomotive.

You're right that most of Ford's lineup is pretty dull, even taking the classic Jaguar styling and making it look like a Taurus, however, IMO they've done a great job on the new Mustang and T-Birds.

Ford's coolest car is the Focus??!! What the heck do you mean? What about the Retro-Techno Mustang and the new GT?

50's cars are so brutishly ugly - I love em!

I would say the GT is Fords coolest at the moment, but to work on that Edsel a bit and get her totally mint again would be a very cool car to roll around in :)
