Over the hill in either direction there are subdivisions and modern homes, but barns like these are still plentiful.
This one is a half mile (~1 km) from my house.

Thanks Sandy, AJS.Can I dare to say pity about the power lines?I quite agree. Actually, I had to work at an angle that didn't have power lines in front of the barn. They're everywhere. :(

Thanks, Sandi. Our barns aren't fancy, but I like them. (Three groundhogs live in and around this one.)

There are numerous old barns in the NE Tennessee / SW Virginia area, and many of them look a lot like this one. Great photo!
