1D mkII Focusing...* beep* ...!?

hello,

I have a 1D mkII, and was very happy that it had no BEEP sound when focusing.....but the other day it started beeping???

I looked through all the options (custom and personal)....but could not find the option to enable or disable it. after a lens change it became silent again???

really buffled.

Can anyone tell me how to disable the beep (in case it reappears)?

Look at the on/off switch.....

There are three positions, off, on, and on with sound.....

Not sure if this will help since I have the 1D........the small on/off switch at the back has three positions: off.......on......and all the way up beside the volume sign, that's the focus 'beep' sound you are looking for. If you only place the switch one place up onto 'ON', focusing will be silent. Hope this helps..........

i guess in the heat of the moment i must have flipped the switch too far! never used the sound mode before.

thnaks a million...now i can be all stealthy agian....until the shutter is activated that is ....KATCHUNK....:-)
