Sony Handycam HDR-XR520VE digital zoom ???

Hi all,
Just got a Sony Handycam HDR-XR520VE, followed the instructions to up the zoom and turn on the digital zoom, but just can not find it ??? All I see is HS/SD set and Flash mode, but reading the instructions, it should say digital zoom there, somewhere ???

If it is anything like the 200 you will need to play with the on screen menu items
Sony buries a fair bit in thier menus

Touching "Home" will give you a few options
A suitcase icon will show movie settings
movie settings will bring up digital zoom
You can change it there

That said, digital zoom is to be avoided anywayas all it really does is crop what optical zoom there is and enlarge it
Leads to degraded image quality
Stick with optical zoom .. should be enough and even with maximum optical zoom you should be avoiding hand holding the camcorder.


I found it. You have to turn easycam {stop handshake} off, and then do what I did before, but when you turn easycam back on the digital zoom does not work, thus it only works with it off.
