Pekka,

I have a request:

Is there a way to break apart your action so that we have a bit more flexibility?

1) A section that processes the linear file, essentially color profiling it. One of the beneifits of this would be that the user can now resize or modify the image even further. I typically print at 11x14 or 13x19.
2) A section for sharpening only. I really like your sharpening technigue but it would be nice if it could be broken apart from main action.

Is this possible?

Isn't the "CONVERT ONLY" for that?
And also, isn't D60 good for A3 size prints without resampling? I'm getting Epson 2100 soon and I'll fine tune LS for that size then.

I'll see what can be done but as sharpening is done in "half linear" mode the results won't be same if it is applied to fully gamma-converted photo.

I have done now new and faster sharpening with 5 levels, and it is improved a lot in detail (much thinner detail lines and even less halo). Should be ready for release tomorrow.

PS. do you think Photoshop 6 compatibility is important?

1) Yes you are correct, my stupid mistake. However I mostly A3 or Super A3 at 240ppi and I MUST resize for that.

Here is what I can do for now:

Use LS60 to Convert and sharpen, then resize to A3 at 240ppi. My concern of course is that I'm resizing an alterted and sharpened image. Normally you don't do that, that is, you you resize BEFORE you sharpen. However the effect does not seem to HARM the image.

In the end what I am looking for is a set of discrete actions, allowing more flexibility. If you think we loose image quality because its outside of 'half linear' mode then maybe it just can't be done.

If that is the case what I might do is use LS60 and convert only (I like your 'profile'), then use another sharpening tool like Vtie's SharpControl. Again, I really like your sharpening results...its a SLOW process but the results are worth it in my judgement.
