A few more pics from this weekend. I'm still working on using the master and slave flashes, hope I'm getting better, LOL. C & C welcomed.

Hey cool pics, I am just wondering where do you stand and what lens do you use for the first couple shots. Looks almost straight on. Christian

In the 1st and 3rd shots I was standing down track about 200 ft. and up against the wall next to the track. I was using a Canon 100-400 zoomed out to about 350mm. In the second shot same thing except about 100 ft down track and zoomed to about 190mm. Thanks for the comment, hope this helps you out.

Shutter priority? What aperture and shutter speeds on the daytime pics too if you don't mind? I shoot a lot of drag racing and motocross.

For daytime drag racing when I am shooting from up near the starting line I usually shoot in AV mode. I try to set the aperture as low as possible to get a shallow dept of field to put your focus on the car. This can vary depending on what lense I'm using. I'll play around with the ISO settings to try and keep a fast shutter speed, usually at least 1/400 and up.
I do switch over to TV mode to do pan shots.
I've shot motocross a couple of times and I liked shooting them in TV mode. Around 1/320 to 1/400 gives you a little wheel motion blurr but still freeze the bike and rider pretty well, especially if they are coming toward you.

I usually use 1/320 in motocross too. I think it's perfect. It seems to work well on down track panning shots at the strip too. I think it's a good all around shutter speed for both. We just purchased a 70-200 2.8 so I can't wait to see what it does compared to our Nikon 80-200 2.8!
