This was a quick snap while we were walking our dogs. Please critique... I need to hear it...This is my beautiful wife and she taken by surprise!

It's not a bad shot, but it is, as you said, a snap shot. The subject is centered, eyes are shadowed by the hat, lighting is harsh, colors seem a little flat to me...

It looks like a snapshot you took while walking your dogs. There really isn't anything good or bad to say about the photo. It may be special to you but it really tell anyone else anything.

I haven't read viz comic for a while but they used to have an ideal section for photos like this of people being "surprised"

It won't just be PP, but the actual composition of the photo. Look into rule of thirds and such... PP can do wonders, but you only have what you originally took
