Here's another picture that I think is good for me to learn from. Please let me know what you think. I'll try to provide some additional information I didn't with the last picture. Thank you all in advance. It was misting that day so the trees up the hill are kinda washed out looking to me. Focal Length 90.0 mm, 1/100 exposure time, apeture F/5.6 ISO 100

It has way way way too much vignetting and it looks like it has either been oversharpened or the file you
are showing is too heavily compressed. Get rid of the vignetting and the sharpening and then maybe we can start talking about the composition.

Lose the vignetting - it's overdone!
It's a good picture, but it needs a better foreground than all that forest above, so I would try backing up to get foundation for the dead foreground stuff.

F/5.6 isn't an ideal DOF for a landscape. And I agree on the vignetting and oversharpening/jpg compression. I'm not big on the almost square crop and the subject (house) is a bit too centered. But it was a good choice of subject (if possible, I would go back and reshoot) and your colors look good.

I see a corn crib and a barn, but I missed the house completely!

ok, here's without the Vinette. I can go back and shoot but I'll have to wait until spring, it's a road (more like a 2 track) back to a 4x4 trail, and I'm sure not as green right now. thanks!!!

I can't seem to find the original on my hard drive, so I don't know if this one has been "enhanced" at all?? thank you all again for your insight!!!

Much better without the vignetting. It still has an over-sharpened look. I would use a narrower aperture to put the foreground in focus and then I would try to look for something more interesting for the foreground. The bark of the trees on the back looks purple... BUT I like the scene.

looks great after removing vignetting. I would love to clear up the haze on top greenery in post processing and pop out the colors.

by all means go for it!!!!
I have the adobe photo shop elements that came with the camera and I personally don't think it's very user friendly, but what I know of it it's very basic what I figured out so far. I just don't have a ton of time to mess with it since I am still a hobbiest, I haven't had enough time to really mess with it to learn it very well. :)
Thank you all for your input!!!

Sorry, I'm a photographer, not an architect ;) But seriously, I thought it was an abandoned house.

It might still be worth going back. You might be able to get something interesting in the change of season. Or see something in a way you didn't see before. Or go a different time of day and pick up on some better lighting/different weather.
