Just some more piccies of these huge amazing animals. The white tiger mum Serena was just loving the sunshine, and son Phoenix just wanted someone to play with him. :( :D

Have to agree with you on that!! They are part of a show at a casino, so the space the 3 tigers had to move around in was about 15 x 15m max. :-| Hope you like the pics, next time i will shoot in RAW as i have only just discovered it  ...lol sad hey!

Tigers are beautiful animals, almost regardless of their surroundings. It is a bit sad that they have been subjugated, but that isn't really the subject of the thread! The first pic shows too stark a background, but that is purely personal taste.
The second one of the white tiger is also obviously in a captive setting. It looks pretty relaxed, though. Sorry I didn't post that initially.
The tiger in the wild was probably shot while trying to get 50 things to happen simultaneously, in bad light (jungle floor) with the cat in a great hurry to get a move on. Under the circumstances, it was probably as good as can be done. I have seen monitoring photos of Black Rhinoceros in a file at a nature reserve I worked at. They were almost without exception blurred, poorly composed and taken looking down at the black rhino from a tree! They weren't pretty, but they did capture vital information.

Wouldn't 'the cat in the wild' picture have been a lot better if something in that picture was in focus?
Why don't you go and try it!

My point has been missed.
I see your point Randy, but I'm betting that the shooter was more concerned with getting out of there with His or Her skin intact rather than sticking around to make sure all settings were just so, ESPECIALLY if there were indeed no barriers in between shooter and eater.
Besides, that shot has the look of a so so scan from film. ;)
