Shot a friends car today. Didn't want to use this location again but with the car being so low I had no other option.

Enjoy and tell me what you think. More on flickr.

That's one way to keep the outter part of a tire clean...

Nice shots , that's a whole lot of negative camber in # 4 , handling has got to suffer big time.

And tire wear has to suck

The light on it looks pretty good. handling has got to suffer big time. Geez! I only had 2-1/2 degrees on the race car!

It's not always about the performance ;)

For this/that type of stuff, it's about who can pull off some crazy stances and fitments. Crazy, yes, but to a lot of us in the scene it's cool...

That EG is probably the first that I've seen to pull off 0 et sportmaxes properly!

I have 355's with stock arches, camber with a slight drop in ride height because of my KWv3s. Does that make me cool too?!? Originally comes with 225s.

I never understood JDM, its about being fast around a track not how quickly you can ruin your tires by stupid setups.

The pics look great! I have to say, I really dis-like the use of RWD offsets on FWD cars. I don't know how this trend started, but it needs to go away soon.

Its a trend, and suprisingly the car doesn't handle as bad as you would think. Thanks.

Special Camber tires.

Thanks man, explained well. He is one of the few in our area to even have zero offsets. I'm actually hoping this car makes a spread in something, just waiting to hear back.

Thanks man, and the trend is just starting here. And the front has ridiculous camber as well lol just not as much

Works for a photo, not to drive though. I had a 93 EX coupe on sportlines, illuminas, omni power camber kits front and rear and the car handled AMAZING, but would eat tires if they got out of adjustment. I had to raise it back up a bit and put smaller wheels on to make it financially responsible to drive to work.

Could be worse and be a VW trend...

This kind of setup has nothing to do with JDM! You clearly never understood JDM ;)

JDM is about performance on the track. It is about clean cars, high performance and high quality parts.

on topic: I like the pictures! What I don't understand, why didn't he take off the bra for the pics? I thought the bra was to protect the the nose and hood for scratches and stuff..

I'm a fan. Any specs on the car?

The hood is unpainted right now, and that is how he drives it so he left it on.

Not really sure, really. I'll see if I can find out some

Your right I really don't understand lol. All the cars around here have JDM stickers all over their car, "JDM as F#*$" etc, etc but its a dirty pile with a fart can on it, and the license plate bolted on sideways. Sadly I think it has ruined my opinion and understanding of what JDM is.

The only thing I find cool is lap times regardless of what you do. Cause in the end isn't that all that matters on a track car?

Oh and to the poster I forgot to mention, the pics look good! Background in first isn't my fav, but like the sharpness and comp on them all! :) Also the other week I had some 5th gear runs with a civic just like this on I75 here in Chattanooga. It couldn't be the same car could it?

haha, ok. A lot of real 'JDM' tuners do upgrade the bodywork. But it should be functional. JDM should be about function over form. Stock outside, stock interior etc is what they call a sleeper.

This is JDM

The civic you see up there is probably faster around the track than a Ferrari F430. It has a K20 engine under the bonnet.

This Amuse S2000 has an aggressive kit, but it is all functional! This car is one of the fastest S2k's around Tsukuba (a very famous circuit in Japan).

These are all very serious track cars which are built without compromises. This is how a JDM car should be.

A lot of people think they 'are' JDM, but they don't know what it is or what it stand for. The abbreviation stands for Japanese Domestic Market. So basicaly every car from Japan is JDM. But there is this whole scene and hype going on. JDM is just Japanese style tuning. But for me it is tuning without compromise and building fast cars. I'm not a fan of the show but no go style.

QFT, thanks Dimer. Not crazy about the style of those but they are quite fast around a track so its cool by me. Also that is one fast time around Tuskuba, nice!

Sorry for offending the poster... Even if he didn't read my post.
