Canon s40 lens/filter adapter

I was curious about lens/filter adapters for the s40. I was wondering if the following adapter will work for the s40. I noticed that someone has posted that they bought this one (even though it says it's for the A30 &40 and not the S30&40).

The s30/40/45 lens retracts under a cover, so there is nowhere to place a mounting on the face of the camera.
Although I haven't seen one, the adapter for the a30/40 is made by Canon, so you would expect there to be a built in or easy mounting method

Both are the same mount, and screw to the tripod mount.

Just received mine from CKC power (I live in the UK) and am waiting for a 2xTelephoto from a local supplier
