3 is the best of the bunch. 1 needs a lot more contrast. 2 has too much blocked by his hand. 3 does suffer a bit from mic shadow.

btw, it's not necessarily a badge of honor to be a philistine and post shots straight out of the camera. ;)

Wasn't trying to be.. it was more of just an informational statement than anything else..

Wasn't trying to be.. it was more of just an informational statement than anything else..

i guess my point is...if you want to post up photos for review/critique, wouldn't you want to make them look as good as possible?

#1 could be (a lot) better with some processing.
#2 and 3 are way better emotion wise IMO.


I think I find the hands covering the face in #2 slightly less of a deal then the shadow on the face in #3, and I prefer the framing in #2, so I think that would be my pick.

Also: Agree with Narlus.
