Looking for some critique here... I took this photo as a possible marketing shot for the limo company, and wasn't all that impressed with it... until...

Until I had the idea to layer the rear light in PS and desaturate everything else. The colour in the background was a bit distracting, so I think desaturating it was the way to go... What do you think?

Ummmm, in my opinion the red light is too red for the rest fo the shot. Can we see the original to compare.

Bring the saturation down a little on the red light, but not too much. It's too bright I think. Maybe more of a red/maroon, but not too maroon. Just my .02 cents.

Ok, I see what you mean, it's a bit luminous... I did crank up the saturation on the light, to make it look like it was on.

How does this one look?

I like it. I actually liked the first one a lot and thought you'd be crazy for lowering the saturation, but now that I see the 2nd one I like it better.

Much better. I like it alot. A nice simple one-line text tagline on the centered on the right aligned to teh center of the taillight in a white script or serif font and you have a very classy ad!

Great work.

And is that Lincoln insignia broken off on the bottom left?

Thanks for the kind words, I'm quite pleased with it myself now.

Yes, what a shame too... kind of spoils the image. I suppose it could be filled in quite easily in Photoshop. I'll have a look at that next...

Ok, 3rd version... broken emblem fixed... (we couldn't have a marketing shot with a bit broken off the car...!!)

wow very cool looks like the original if you hadnt seen the broken piece first.
very cool..it would be funny if you could bend the broken piece a little to the left.
meaning put a buldge to the left like this ( so it would match 100% to the original emblem..
but i dont think people will notice that havent seen the original shot

Way to go. Now the red is not so bright it has come out really well. And nice work on the emblem.

Ok, I know I'm going too far with a 4th version, but this will be the last I promise! ;)

I the previous emblem fix was only on the 800*533 px version, so I went back to the original PSD, fixed that, and re-sized down again. I'm a lot happier with this version.

I also included a 100% crop of the fixed emblem... I'm always impressed with the capabilities of photoshop!

I'm impressed with how well the rain droplets show up on on the emblem in the 100% crop!
