Tripod post adapter

I have a tripod that has a 1/4 inch threaded post. I have found and bought several adapter bushings to convert it to use a 3/8 inch ballhead. The problem I have is that all the adapter bushing I can find are very short (well under 1/2 inch in height), and do not extend up the 1/4 inch post far enough to give a good, solid connection.

Does anyone know of an adapter that is longer than the bushings I have found??

The one I got from Really Right Stuff worked fine when I needed to attach my ballhead to an old tripod with a 1/4" stud. I used Loctite to attach it to the stud so it wouldn't unscrew and possibly get stuck inside the ballhead.

Thank you for the assistance. I knew I had seen a longer adapter somewhere, but the curse of the internet is the inability to find something a second time!
