Hello to everyone...

I happened to stumble across this forum while browsing for information on the Canon S30, which I just purchased today. It will be replacing my Sony DSC-P50. So far I have found a lot of great information on this site!

Anyhow, I am would like to hear some suggestions regarding how I might protect my S30 from the elements while going out to the beach for the weekend. I will be attending a car show, which coincides with Spring Break at Daytona Beach.

I will have a soft case for the camera when it is not in use, however I would like to protect it a bit more from the possiblity of salt, sand, beer, or other bodily fluids - it is Spring Break afterall :)

With my Canon Elan, I usually place it in a large clear ziplock bag if I'm going to be out in less than accomodating conditions. However, this might not work too well with the built in flash on the S30. I also got looking at the underwater housing for the S30, but don't think I will have the extra money to spend on that so soon after getting the camera.

So if anyone has any ideas that they could share, both I and the camera would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks!
-Tim
