This is my first time using a SLR . I have not done any cropping or post processing. I would like to hear any constructive comment, or tips that I could use in the future to take pictures in this lighting and enviroment( a concert). Thanks for any help. I am also wondering if any filters would have helped me. Taken with a EOS 50D and EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens. As of now this is the only lens I have.

Best to post a couple of shots. Most folk don't have the time to wade through a pageful on flicr.

AC/DC how cool is that. Just check out the stacks Angus is playing through! I saw AC/DC open a "day on the green" (SF bay area ballpark day long concert) with Bon Scott. The subjects in #1 could be burned down a bit due to over exposure.

concerts/ nightclubs are notorious for wreaking havoc with photographers. Constantly changing lighting, fog machine, and unless you've a pass, long distances. I think you did pretty well giving the conditions you were facing. Cool stuff!

You've done well to capture AC/DC, I' m old enough to remember Bon Scott dying. My only advice would be to invest in a longer fast lens.

I knew going in that the lens would be slow but its the only lens I have at the moment. What would be a suggestion for a faster longer lens.

Considering the conditions you were shooting in, I'd say you did pretty damned good! I agree with the other posters on a faster lens probably would have helped; but overall I wouldn't complain. I'm surprised they let you in to a concert with an SLR.

Awesome subject matter, too :) Love the AC/DC...
