Dis organized!!!!!!!!

I have a firly large collection of bodies, filters and modifiers, chargers, cords, etc.

Whenever I need some thing in a hurry I can never find it. I have a Lowepro Backpack and a a large Pelican rolling case.

Any organizing ideas for trying to get this stuff figured out?

If at home...you need to build yourself a custom closet or display case.

I have a separate bag for my things. Lenses, filters, etc. go into a large shoulder bag. Chargers, AC adapters and associated cables go into two smaller shoulder bags (one bag for the camera chargers and another bag for the rest). All my flash units, battery packs, PW units, flash meter, batteries, etc. go into an evern bigger shoulder bag. And then I have a couple of shoulder bags and backpacks of different sizes for carrying whatever gear I need for a particular shoot or outing. And, oh yeah, I also have a bag that contains my own and camera's rain gear, Palsafes, locks, etc. and another for my computer. And I haven't even said anything about the strobes and associated gear like modifiers, stands, clamps, brackets, etc. :)

I am talking about at home. I think I will build a stackable rack of see through plastic containers. PacAce, sounds like you are dealing with the same problem I am ....lots o' stuff in lots o' places. :)

Walmart sells stackable drawers (3 to a unit) for $6 a unit. I purchased 3. They are perfect for sorting filters, cables, etc.
I use one drawer for all filter. Another for all flash sync cables. Another holds all my batteries, chargers, etc. I love them and they fit great in a closet!

speaking of closets, I just cleaned my out so I can fit all of my gear in bags in the closet so that I don't look like a bag lady.....

I have a guest room in the house that was supposed to be mine, but somehow my boys got possession.......
