so last weekend i shot a bat-mizvah, it was a first time experience and i gotta say it was quite fun, although i couldnt get the tipical shots like the formals with the torah and the girl being lifted in the chair due to the fact that the family didnt do any of these, i managed to get enough shots to compose the album....which im designing myself.

Nice layout. For whatever reason, the exposure in the one of the girl on the first page seems to vary quite a bit, especially in the same pose on the first spread, where it looks way over-exposed compared to the others.

thank you guys!...i hope the parents love the fun page!....im taking the risk of showing them something new, since i have the feeling they are more of the formal picture posed type of peole....im sure the kids will love these....specially when they get older and look back at this album!@
as far as the different exposures, do you mean in the first page layout??....well i decreased the opacity on the bigger picture to make the smaller one pop more....if thats what you mean....i tried to get the exposure and color tones as equal as possible on these...but i know some i had trouble doing so...:o

The two on the first page (same image large and small) look fairly close (on my non-calibrated work monitor the large image looks a little too bright - I think I'd try adding a B&W layer over it in something like softlight blending mode to see if it will tone down a little while retaining full saturation of the colors), but the same image on the "first spread" page looks really faded in comparison.

ohh i get it, yeah i did two completely %'s on the transparency, i should have been more consistent with the first page and first spread, being that is the same image....ughhhhh....thanx for pointing it out...ill work on the other spreads, i would hate to have to do this one all over...

On the first page, you've used the same picture twice, which was on purpose I'm sure, but why? Shouldn't the smaller one be a different one, especially since you used that same shot yet again for the third time, on another page? Love the Fish Eye lens series, perfect for that age group! Also love the ones where she has the white binder in front of her face. That is exactly what a teenage girl would do. cute.

thank you for the feedback, i used that picture simply because due to the family not being the most cooperative i only snapped one formal of her at the podium before the ceremony, luckily it was one of my favoriteeeee shots, so i figured it be great for a first page, i was inspired by a layout i saw on another site where the same picture was used twice on the cover, just one as a background and the other in front to bring out empasis, only difference was the crop, as you can see here....i then decided to use it again on the first spread as a back ground image....since it was her alone and it will give the spread a clutterness feel to it....being that other family formals will be layered right on top.....ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU FOR THE FEEDBACK...
i dunno why but getting feedback on here lately is like pulling teeth...lol

The new B&W page looks good too. I think they should be happy with the final - I would be. :D

her name is Lauren Lauren? why the same photo twice on the front?
kill those coloured lines you've added, they don't do anything for the general look of the book..
