Hello all friends out there:

When I upload my pictures to print at a professional print lab web site, it ask me What
Spray I want

It had 4 options and I am not sure what they meant. What does spray mean? and What
do Matte, Clear, Luster, Pro-Texture mean?

Spray:
1. Matte
2. Clear
3. Luster
4. Pro-Texture

Thank you for reading.

These all sound like photograph finishes - similar to what is available on various inkjet or photographic papers. I am not sure why they are referencing it the way they are unless they actually prepare the prints on a single paper type and then apply a spray-on fixer to preserve the photo and achieve the desired effect. First time I have heard of this offered in this way but I am no pro and have never used a professional lab.

This is not meant as a smart*** comment but maybe you should ask them or check the FAQ's on the website - hard for anyone here to respond intelligently unless they happened to have used this unnamed processor and experienced the same question.

maybe you should ask them or check the FAQ's on the website I agree!
OTOH, we used to use a paint sprayer to put a matte finish on display 16"X20" prints, & I suspect that they're doing the same thing.
