This is officially my first attempt a shooting any sort of graffiti, please tell me what you think and how I might improve these shots as the subject isn' far at all from where I live. The day I took 'em the light was really harsh and I'm not sure if that improved or detracted from the shots.

First and last shots the best. Try at night. Also try different angles, you need to work more on composition see if you can combine lines of graffiti with elements in background or sky. Also, fill flash isn't working when natural light is so harsh.

Good luck

Great subject but I have to agree with Thom ^^^^

Find some better angles, look at the shades, maybe try after dark. Maybe do something with the reflections in the water in the first picture?

Yea the light was pretty bad that day, I went back again but I didn't like the light inside so I took a few exterior shots, here's a bw conversion of one. Maybe i'll go back again soon.

I like that last shot but I would have got lower to the ground to take it, less stairs and more hill in back ground. Lamp and grass are good. Would like to see colour version to. Modern graff doesn't look good black and white.

I think by far the best and most interesting photo is the 5th one with the "GAP" graffiti. Would love to see this at night, or in daytime with better sky.
