Well, I got an email last Monday to call them to confirm my pre-order, which I did last Tuesday or so. Today I got another email telling me it will go out tomorrow. Buff has said in another forum that they're individually testing each one of this first batch before shipping. After this big delay, he's apparently trying to make absolutely certain nobody has a complaint about the units themselves.
