Ok everyone, the pictures are all sorted out and the voting can begin. Congratulations everyone, there is one fine crop of pictures to choose from!! :D

Voting Rounds:
There will be 2 rounds of voting, this one and a final.
33% of each group will go through to the next round. That means:

Group 1: 9 photos in all, so 3 will progress
Groups 2/3: 7 photos in each, so 2 will progress from each group.
Consequently, the final will consist of 7 photos competing for first, second and third place.

Voting:

To keep the contest brief, voting in each round will last for 5 days.
Since each group is a separate, mini contest, please ensure that you vote in each group.
While we want to keep it fun, this contest is a little more serious then our usual ones, so please do not discuss any of the photos until voting in the final round has closed. I'm really keen to ensure no-one feels that the contest was biased against them.

Although Mine didn't win, Somebody other then me voted for my photo. Somebody likes my work...Woo Hoo. :)

I should point out I liked someone else's better then mine (and voted that way), so was not surprised I didn't make it. And I usually do people pictures not landscapes, so not bad by my book.

BTW: My compliments on the method of the contest in allowing multiple choices from each group to go forward. If you had allowed only one, then it might have caused an unfair bias as some images may look better against some then others when shown together. Three from each group would be better, but given the small number of images available, good enough.
