I was wondering if you guys could share what good background ideas you have. I like taking pictures of my son (2 years old) outside but for the most part, I just have grass as my background. I have a lens that blurs the background pretty well.

Yesterday I took him to a pumpkin patch and that was a cool background. All the orange pumpkins lined up around him. Made for a nice colorful picture.

If you have any other suggestions, I would love to hear them. I live in FL so we are limited in elevation and trees turning colors.

In Florida.....how about beach and sand or sand castles. Sunsets.

the great thing about shooting outdoors is you don't need much special, just clean from people, cars, buildings (unless its good architecture). I like to find a patch of "pretty weeds" and shoot there. This shot was taken off the side of a main road, on a patch of land with the "pretty weeds" Clients were skeptical but LOVED the result.

Or I also like working in front of brick / stone / cool walls outside:

Thanks for the suggestions. I have a ton of beach and grass background pictures. Walls would be nice, especially if it has some color or warmth to it. I plan on taking my son to a garden in hopes of finding some good backgrounds.
