At the present time I have a Canon S2 and I have been looking to upgrade to XS10 or XS20. I have been looking at these cameras at Beech Camera. The XS10 is $399 and the XS20 is $369, however Canon has a rebate available for $20 at the present time, which would bring the XS20 down to $349 with free shipping.
I have been reading a lot of the post from both XS10 users and also XS20 users. It seems as if for the most part the XS10 users do not feel there are enough improvements in the XS20 for them to upgrade.
I presently have CHDK installed on my S2, mainly for the status of the battery and on occasion Motion Detection. I know that CHDK is available for the XS10, but not the XS20, however I think that it will at a later date.
My question is this, as an owner of a Canon S2 looking to upgrade and not considerating the price difference, would it be better for me to purchase the XS10 or the XS20?

The SX20 would get my vote...perhaps because I have one. ;)

Did you have the SX10?

I did not...I played with one...but never owned one. Just as a point of curiousity....why would you want to pay more for older technology? Given the pricing and the features...the SX20 seems like it isn't a hard choice to make.

Well, the SX20 is the newer camera, and if you've got the prices correctly listed, Beach wants less for it . . .

I had the SX10 and upgraded to the SX1 when it became available FWIW.
