Hello you guys.
I just bought the Calumet Gen. 200 Kit and I wanted to go wireless. I was wondering what you guys think about the Calumet Four Channel Flash Trigger Kit. Also I was wondering if the Sekonic L-358 flash meter would trigger the lights for tests with the Calumet Trigger kit?
I know the pocket wizard is great too. I just wanted to get some advice on how you guys would do it?
Thanks for all the help!

I also bought the calmunet 200 strobe kit and am using it wireless I bought the CTR-301p Wireless Flash triggers from ebay not expensive and so far have worked great with the set. I attached one receiver to one strobe and set the other to trigger as the first goes off. Transmitter on camera hot shoe.
If you buy these triggers buy also a 6.3mm to 3.5mm jack adapter so as they come with a 6.3mm jack and the socket in the gnensis kit is 3.5mm.

The Calumet Genesis 200 Kit is good. But don't buy their Flash Trigger, some people that bought it had to return it because it was no good.
Go for the AlienBees Cybersync Radio Trigger or Elinchrom Skyport instead.
Yes. Sekonic L-358 is also one of the best, get that one, it will not rigger the light like when you have Pocket Wizard, but if you buy extra Transmitter of your Radio Trigger, you can nake it trigger your light.

Thanks for the response.
Im still kinda confused on how theses triggers work. If I go with the Cybersync, Elinchrom, or Pocket Wizard, how many of each would I buy If I wanted to trigger the lights with the camera and with the light meter? I hope that makes sense.

If you buy Alienbees Cybersync or Elinchrom Skyports, you will need two Transmitter and one each Receivers for every light or speedlite you have.
Meaning if you have only two lights, you will need two receivers and one transmitter on the camera and one extra transmitter for the Sekonic L358.
But if you buy Pocket Wizard you only need one Transmitter because PW has a module for $50 you can buy and put inside the transmitter to trigger your lights, that is one advantage of Pocket Wizard but then it costs more or double the cost of other triggers.

Sorry for the noobness.
So if I go with Pocket Wizard would I only buy 1 of theses?

And did you mean you can put a $50 transmitter on the Sekonic L358?
I can't thank you enough for all your help.

If you go with Pocket Wizard, you will buy 3 of the Pocket Wizard shown in that amazon.com link, they are called Transceivers, which means they act as both Transmitter and Receivers, you just set the button on them.
So if you have 2 lights, you will need 3 Pocket Wizard like this for best setup:
1 PW on your camera
1 PW on one light
1 PW on the second light.
And you will buy the Pocket Wizard Module to install on the Sekonic L-358 like this: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/221079-REG/Sekonic_401_621_Digital_Radio_Transmitter_Module.h tml
Hope you undestand this now..

Yes I understand now. Thank you so much. Wow its going to be very $$$$.
Do you know if the Genesis 200 can be triggered by slave? Meaning one would have the PW and then other light would trigger as slave. Is that possible.

You can set the second Genesis to be triggered by the flash of the first one.
You could also save your money and just trigger both of them with a hot-shoe flash, if you already have one.

Good choice! I use them and they trigger every time! (as long as I turn them on)
If your lights will trigger each other by flash as an option, you can get away with only one receiver. The disadvantage of doing this is that they will also go off when someone else uses their flash, any flash. I use triggers on all mine. Especially at weddings.

That's a good choice. Remember I told you that PW cost almost 3 of Cybersync. Cybersync is more than enough of what you want to use it for.

Yes. Genesis has an optical trigger that when you trigger one light the other will trigger also. But because of inconvenience it's better to get one receiver for each light.
